A Lindenhurst middle school was evacuated Wednesday following a bomb threat.
According to school officials, students and faculty at Lindenhurst Middle School on Wellwood Ave. were transported off campus shortly after the threat was received around 9 a.m.
Police and fire officials searched the school and found nothing. Students and staff returned to the building after about an hour.
