Lindenhurst man charged with DWI in crash that killed motorcyclist

Police say 56-year-old Andrian Kostyuk was driving under the influence in a Toyota 4Runner when he collided with a Harley Davidson at around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon at the intersection of Wellwood Avenue and Buffalo Avenue in Lindenhurst.

A Lindenhurst man is accused of driving drunk and killing a motorcyclist in a crash on Friday.
Police say 56-year-old Andrian Kostyuk was driving under the influence in a Toyota 4Runner when he collided with a Harley Davidson at around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon at the intersection of Wellwood Avenue and Buffalo Avenue in Lindenhurst.
The motorcyclist, identified as 52-year-old Michael Goldstein, was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim's wife tells News 12 he leaves behind a teenage daughter, who will now have to carry on without her father.
Kostyuk was not hurt, but he was arrested and charged with DWI.
