A 59-year-old limo bus driver is accused of allowing teens to drink and use drugs before the Mepham senior prom.
Nassau Consumer Affairs confiscated 12 bottles of hard alcohol, at least four cases of beer and $1,000 worth of hydro marijuana on the bus that carried 55 students to the prom. The driver, Medford resident Thomas Brady, says he was unaware of the illegal activity happening on the bus. However, officials say the students tied a garbage bag of empty cans and bottles to the back of his seat.
School officials say all students were checked before entering the prom. Brady was released on appearance tickets.
