Crews across Long Island are working to stay ahead of the snow that is falling across the area.

News 12 Meteorologist Rich Hoffman says 2 to 4 inches are expected to fall.

Long Island residents have been heading out to Home Depot to purchase new shovels, salt and scrapers.

Long Islanders tell News 12 they are trying to stay ahead of the storm and stay prepared with the necessary tools.
