A half century after Vietnam and many painful issues remain unresolved for soldiers touched by the war.
Among them is Bay Shore's Frank Romeo whose struggle for closure brought him back to the land where he was nearly killed in combat.
Nearly 40 years after the Fall of Saigon, the Vietnam War still echoes within Cpl. Romeo. Romeo has battled with post-traumatic stress disorder since he was nearly killed in a Vietcong ambush.
Now, at age 65, Romeo is hoping to heal the emotional wounds of his war experience by confronting them.
He's returning to the battlefields of Southeast Asia for the first time since leaving in a medevac helicopter 45 years ago.
