The Islanders are likely heading to the playoffs, but one local politician is aiming to bring them back from Brooklyn.
Nassau Leg. Judy Jacobs believes the renovated Coliseum should have more seats, about 17,000 in all. This number is about 4,000 more than proposed developer Forest Ratner had planned.
Jacobs says the increase in the number of seats could bring the Islanders back.
However, the Islanders signed a 25-year contract to play at Barclays Center in Brooklyn starting next season.
