Parents across Long Island are asking for more clarification over the return of children's sports.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that that baseball, softball, gymnastics, field hockey, cross country and crew can start up July 6.
However, the Hempstead Town supervisor says he's getting a lot of questions from parents about the new sports policies on safety.
Some coaches are also wondering why certain sports, like lacrosse, were not on the list.
Garden City girls lacrosse coach Kevin Hegarty says, "Will someone please show me the science that says field hockey is safer than girls lacrosse?"
The state has not responded to these concerns yet.
Gov. Cuomo says each player will be able to have two spectators in the stand.
