LI nonprofit launches children's book celebrating founder Joan Hyland
Love, Nana by Backyard Players and Friends has launched a children's book telling the story of Joan Hyland, otherwise known as “Nana” and her work distributing baby bundles.

Joan Hyland and her team of helpers have put together thousands of baby bundles over the years. Now, her story is now immortalized in the new children's book, “Love, Nana” written by Hyland’s daughter, Frances Carver and illustrated by her grandson, James Hyland.
A book launch celebration was held on Saturday in Rockville Centre.
The book can be purchased at Front Porch Market, located at 213 N. Long Beach Road in Rockville Centre. It can also be purchased online.
