A Long Island ultra-marathon runner is traveling over 25 miles in honor of fallen heroes for Veterans Day.
Eva Casale and her team are running a 26.2-mile marathon across Long Island's North Shore to honor veterans who have served and those who are still fighting for the country.
This is Team Eva's sixth year running along a route to 15 different veteran memorial sites where they will place over 300 flowers and wreaths.
"Everyone who's deployed and everyone who fought for our country so it's important that every year we continue to keep bringing awareness over and over again," Casale says.
Casale will be doing more to support veterans in April by running seven marathons in seven days across Long Island.
