Millions of people around the world were rocking out against global warming as part of the Live Earth concerts and Long Island joined the effort with the help of local bands Saturday.The event at Brookhaven Amphitheatre in Farmingville was hosted by the Citizens Campaign for Environment. The goal was to raise awareness on how to protect the environment and the Long Island Sound.
The Point band member Colin Kasprowicz says mixing music with education is important. Kasprowicz says people have to do their part to protect the environment for the next generation. Many in attendance took advantage of educational fliers that were on hand before enjoying the night?s festivities with a message.
