Things are looking brighter for jetBlue passengers as flights took off on schedule Tuesday at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Some passengers from Long Island say they are still confident in the airline, despite hearing about weeklong delays and cancellations. Since the Valentine's Day snowstorm, jetBlue has canceled more than 100 flights daily. Throughout the past week, the airline informed customers of cancellations after hours of delays at the terminal.
Tuesday, the company's chief executive also promised the situation would never happen again and announced the start of a customer bill of rights program. As part of the program, customers who experienced delays will receive vouchers ranging from $25 to the full amount of a ticket. Customers will also be entitled to a full refund if the airline cancels a flight within 12 hours of its departure.
