Several areas across the Island are cleaning up today after this weekend's wild weather.
Wind gusts brought down a tree on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa, which closed a stretch of westbound lanes between Louden Street and County Line Road yesterday.
In Garden City, another tree came crashing down into a garage on Kilburn Road.
PSEG Long Island was reporting more than 11,000 outages at one point yesterday. Right now, fewer than 600 Long Islanders are without power.
Meantime, in New England a Nor'easter blasted the coastline in Massachusetts. Strong winds and coastal flooding left thousands without power Sunday morning. And just hours before kickoff, Gillette Stadium was blanketed with snow. Things cleared up, however, before the football game between New England and Denver.
