A Long Island band with autism is set to perform Saturday at Lincoln Center's Big Umbrella Festival.

The musicians will perform a 30-minute drum flag and dance routine.

Instructors say the moment was years in the making.

"A way for us to express who we are and for everyone here to be able to show their talents and what they've been working on for many, many years," says FREE Chief Program Officer Nicole Wolf.

Band members also received citations from the town to recognize their achievement and effort.
