WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Air quality and haze is improving with nice skies across Long Island. The overnight will be mostly clear and cooler with lows near 62 degrees.
Friday looks fantastic and is my "Pick of the Week" with sunshine and highs near 80. Humidity will be low with light east, southeast winds.
Nice weather continues through the weekend with comfortable humidity levels.
Daytime high temperatures slowly rise into the low 80s by Sunday. Use caution at South Shore beaches through the weekend with a rip current risk as a storm passes southeast of Long Island out in the ocean.
Check out the Full Sturgeon Moon Friday night. Moonrise is 8:07 p.m. and visibility will be great.
Hot and more humid weather makes a return next week and much of the week looks dry with no big storms in the forecast.
