Long Islanders attending President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration may see a familiar sight in Washington.Bagel Boss stores across Long Island and Manhattan are sending 1 million bagels to the nation's capital for the inauguration.Scott Perskin, who manages the Bagel Boss in Hicksville, says his store started making the bagels Sunday night. He says 14 trucks filled with bagels are on their way and that Bagel Boss has people waiting in Washington for the special deliveries. The bagels will be handed out to people waiting outside in the cold, attending inauguration events.
?I come here almost every day, and it's great to hear that they're going to get notoriety,? Bill Baldwin, of Greenlawn, says. ?Long Island bagels are the best.?
