A Levittown teen was arrested on Thursday for intentionally pulling the fire alarm inside the Nassau County Supreme Court building and for biting a police officer.
According to the Nassau County Police Department, Connor McCoy, 19, pulled the fire alarm without cause inside the court building, at 100 Supreme Court Drive in Mineola, at 11:33 a.m. on Thursday. The sound of the alarm led to the building being evacuated.
An investigation led police to McCoy's Levittown home, where police say he became violent and combative, and resisted arrest. Police say that while attempting to place McCoy under arrest, he bit a detective on his right forearm. The detective was evaluated and treated at a local hospital.
McCoy was eventually placed under arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident, assault and resisting arrest. He was set to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Mineola.
