Parents in the Levittown Public Schools are being told to be on alert after a report of a man approaching a student.
The school superintendent is warning parents about an incident that happened on Wander Lane in Wantagh yesterday afternoon.
The district says a bearded man wearing sunglasses holding a cellphone approached a student walking on the block near MacArthur High School and Salk Middle School.
The student ran off and was not hurt.
