A donation jar meant for leukemia research was stolen this week from a 7-Eleven. The crime occurred at a Lindenhurst 7-Eleven Monday evening.
The jar was in memory of the manager's daughter, Isabella Pine, who died more than a year ago from the disease.
Diane Pine says she has raised more than $11,000 for leukemia research since the jar was put out. She believes the jar had about $75 in it when it was stolen.
Surveillance cameras took a video of a customer who owners say may have stolen the jar.
"It looked like he was gonna put money in the jar like he was going to donate it, and then he just put his hand over the whole can and just took it," said Pine.
