The New York Mets lifted the spirits of a sick North Bellmore boy this season, supporting his fight against leukemia by welcoming him as one of their own.

Luke Lang was diagnosed with the disease back in March. In July, he and his family went to Citi Field with field passes in tow, and spent much of the pre-game speaking with players in the dugout. He even traded orange and blue bracelets that read "Losing Is Not An Option" with several of the players.

The Langs were invited to another game later in the year at which they met with even more players.
