A house fire injured an infant and left multiple people displaced Saturday afternoon in Lawrence, according to authorities.

Officials say the flames erupted inside the two-family residence on Spring Street around 2 p.m.

Over 60 firefighters responded to the scene and controlled the blaze within 40 minutes.

Authorities say the displaced individuals include seven adults and three children.

The infant was hospitalized for evaluation along with one firefighter.

A cause of the fire was not immediately known.
