The final remaining lawsuit against the New York Islanders' new arena has been tossed, clearing the way for the project at Belmont Park.
The lawsuit was filed by the Village of Floral Park and various civic groups. They wanted to reverse state approvals for the $1.3 billion project.
This week, a state Supreme Court justice ruled the village lacked standing and failed to show it suffered any injury different that that of the general public.
Village officials say they're disappointed in the ruling.
The arena is slated to open in October 2021.
