With just 24 hours to go, don't fear this Halloween if you don't have a costume for you or your kids! News 12 teamed up with Newsday to show you how to make some easy, last-minute do-it-yourself costumes.

According to Valerie Kellogg, editor of Newsday's kids section, you don't have to be too crafty.

"All you need is a glue gun and a dream in 5-10 minutes and a little creativity," says Kellogg. "[Just] go around your house and find stuff!"

For a last-minute kitty costume, think headband, face paint and some pipe cleaners. Head back to the 80s with a pair of old torn-up jeans with bright colors attached. Want to be a fairy? Get some wings and fabric spray to transform a T-shirt and leggings.

Or the classic gypsy is always fun, says Kellogg. Just get your old costume jewelry and tie on a handkerchief.
