An explosion in Waterbury, Connecticut claimed the life of a prominent Oyster Bay church leader's son Wednesday.
Elias Anchundia Jr., of Lake Grove, died when an underground transformer exploded as he was performing electrical testing. This isn't the first touch of tragedy for Anchundia's parents, Elias and Christine. Anchundia's younger brother died in the World Trade Center on September 11th. Anchundia leaves behind his wife and three small children.
Six explosions related to the underground electrical lines of Waterbury, Connecticut have occurred in the past 18 months. Waterbury's mayor says this blast is unrelated to the most recent incident in October. Four investigations have been launched into Wednesday's episode.
