Holiday travelers were forced to endure another bump in their plans Sunday after a plane at LaGuardia Airport was grounded due to a passenger's suspicious activities.
Port Authority of New York and New Jersey officials say U.S. Airways Express Flight 3068, leaving for Portland, Maine, was temporarily turned back from the runway Sunday afternoon. According to Port Authority representatives, the pilot became suspicious of a note written by one of the passengers. They say K-9 units did not find any suspicious materials during their sweep of the aircraft.
The man who wrote the note remained in custody while other passengers were allowed back onto the plane.
