A key witness scheduled to testify Wednesday in the DWI murder trial of a Babylon man was excused until Thursday.
Thomas Mott is a high school friend of Michael Grasing, the man accused of drunken driving and killing 18-year-old Brittany Walsh in Lindenhurst two years ago.
Mott was scheduled to testify in front of the jury about speaking with Grasing the night of the accident.
On Monday, Mott was led into court in handcuffs after failing to show up for testimony last week.
Prosecutors say Grasing was four times the legal limit when he caused the crash that killed Walsh.
