A jury has been chosen in the case against an ex-NYPD officer accused of causing the death of his 8-year-old son.

Eight women and four men will make up the jury against Michael Valva, who police say forced his son Thomas Valva to sleep in an unheated garage in a Center Moriches home.

Opening statements are expected to begin in two weeks.

The father's ex-fiancee Angela Pollina is also charged in Thomas Valva's death.

Earlier this week, a judge ruled that Michael Valva and Pollina would have two separate trials.
