The Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular is coming back to Jones Beach State Park.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo made the announcement Tuesday that the show would be returning for the first time since 2010.
The fireworks display was scrapped because of state budget cuts. It was revived this year with financial backing from Astoria Bank.
Beachgoers told News 12 that they are excited about the show's return.
"It's a family event...Now, that they're finally bringing it back, I think it's the definition of Long Island," said Lisa Nevola, of North Massapequa.
The 30-minute show will start at 9:30 p.m. on July Fourth.
