A judge has agreed to adjust Rep. George Santos bail conditions and loosen his travel restrictions around Capitol Hill.
Court documents show Santos’ lawyer made the request Wednesday to allow the congressman to travel within a 30-mile radius of Washington, D.C.
He was previously restricted to Long Island, New York City and D.C.
According to Santos’ lawyer, there is frequent need to travel outside of D.C., such as for dining, shopping, meetings and events.
As previously reported, Santos is facing a 13-count federal indictment after being accused of fraud, money laundering and theft of public funds.
