Dozens of people marched through Brentwood on Saturday to make their voices heard against Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

People lined the sidewalks and called for ICE to leave their communities.

The group Suffolk Progressives is calling for the state to pass the New York For All Act. The bill, which is currently in the New York State Senate Standing Committee on Codes, would prohibit police officers and others from questioning people about their immigration status unless required by law.

"We want ICE out of Long Island. We do not want them coming after our immigrant communities. There are people here who are just trying to live, just trying to go to school. We do not want to cooperate with ICE," said Shoshana Hershkowitz, of Suffolk Progressives.

Organizers said the protest was part of a series of marches around Long Island.
