A judge threw the book at a purported gang member convicted of killing a teen at a North Amityville "Sweet 16" party.
Nineteen-year-old Terrell Gray will serve 25 years to life in prison for shooting Danielle Baker. The 14-year-old girl was dancing at a friend's party on Miller Avenue when Gray, reportedly a member of the Browns gang, fired a single shot into the second-floor room. Video surveillance showed Gray put on the hood of his sweatshirt before taking out the murder weapon, a 9 mm gun.
While the victim's father says he will always be heartbroken over the loss of his daughter, Cordell Baker expressed gratitude for the prosecution's efforts. Meanwhile, Gray's attorney states he will file an appeal later this week.
