A judge has reversed a plea deal for a Holbrook woman who accidentally ran over her husband and left him for dead. Joanne Riva was supposed to be sentenced to probation and community service for the death of her husband in June 2003. However, the deal was called off. Riva?s attorney, Robert Gottlieb, says the judge pointed to a confidential report put out by the Suffolk County Department of Probation, which described Riva as 'lacking remorse.' Gottlieb says his client was the victim of constant abuse and was just trying to seek refuge the night her husband died. Riva is appealing the judge's decision and is due back in court September 20.
