Long Beach Medical Center could soon be seeing patients again.

 

A judge has approved the sale of the closed facility to South Nassau Communities Hospital.
Long Beach Medical Center has been closed since Superstorm Sandy.

 

A bankruptcy judge gave the go ahead for the sale of the hospital to Oceanside's South Nassau Community Hospital.
The hospital wants to turn the facility into a walk-in clinic and 24-hour emergency department.

 

The walk-in clinic could open as soon as this summer.
