A new zipline park at Jones Beach is not getting rave reviews from some on Long Island.
The WildPlay Adventure Park is an "eyesore" for some beachgoers who are used to sun, sand and surf.
"Used to be you get a beautiful sunset and now it looks like you have a construction project going on," says Peter Mundy of Wantagh. "There's no way to hide it. It is what it is but I don't think it belongs there, not at all."
The park is part of a $100 million revitalization project to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Jones Beach.
Other people say they are excited to try something new.
"It brings more activity here," says Stacy Weinstein, of Bellmore.
Only part of the zipline park is open to the public. The rest is still under construction.
