Officials announced that Jones Beach State Park reopened this morning after Jose brought some of the worst flooding to the area.
The beach was closed due to flooding from the storm, which washed waves up under the boardwalk.
The state parks department tells News 12, with the waters still rough, lifeguards will now be back on duty for the next four days.
Lifeguards will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Jones Beach, Robert Moses, Hither Hills in Montauk and Sunken Meadow.
