A threatening note prompted a Floral Park school to call the police and evacuate the school, ​according to the Floral Park-Bellerose School District.

​Officials say a student at John Lewis Childs School found a concerning message in the bathroom.

The elementary school followed safety protocols, according to the superintendent.

Police say the threat was not credible, but parents feel like they’re being kept in the dark.

“I feel like more information needs to be channeled and provided to the parents,” says Geraldine Grant. “Such as, what the threat was?”

There is no official word from the Floral Park-Bellerose School District on the nature of the threat.
