Hundreds of jobseekers printed out their resumes and showed up to the second Bronx job fair at Dewitt Clinton High School Thursday.
About 300 people walked through the door of the fair within the first hour, and that number grew by the hour. This is the second job fair organized by Assemblyman Mark Gjnoaj and Sen. Jeff Klein. The first one was held last October.
The 50 employers at the fair included Affinity Health Plan, the NYPD, the Bronx Zoo, New York Daily News, real estate agencies, IHOP and H&M. Organizers say the goal is to find jobs for as many Bronx residents as possible, whether they have a four-year degree or not.
The fair is hoping to exceed 2,000 resumes, which is how many were received back in October. Anyone that could not attend the event should contact Gjonaj's office for details.
