A Jimmy Buffet tribute concert at Jones Beach on Saturday night took on a deeper meaning as it happened a day after the icon's death at 76.
It was a bittersweet concert at the Band Shell for Buffet fans who came out to celebrate his music and his life.
Barometer Soup, named after one of Buffet's albums, performed before the fans. The tribute band has played Buffet's music for close to two decades.
After learning of his death, many of Buffet's devoted fans known as Parrotheads said they had to be at the show.
Fan favorites like "Margaritaville" and "Cheeseburger in Paradise" were played among many other of Buffet's popular songs.
Fans said they will continue to be inspired by Buffet's love of beach life and his appreciation for the simpler things in life.
