A pair of North Fork dogs will take part in the prestigious Westminster Dog Show this weekend.
For the first time ever, dog agility competitions will be a part of Westminster. Peconic resident Jill Blum's Papillon Dallas and Pomeranian Token are among the inaugural competitors.
Dallas and Token, who have won hundreds of ribbons over the years, face some steep competition this weekend. More than 200 dogs from around the country will take part in an all-day event, with one winner being chosen Saturday night.
Westminster is considered the Super Bowl of dog shows, but Blum won't let the spotlight faze her or her dogs.
"Once you're in the ring, you kind of aren't really thinking about it," she says. "It's just you and the dog."
