This weekend?s security breach at JFK Airport has officials at MacArthur Airport re-examining that airport?s safety measures.
A Queens man allegedly climbed over a fence at JFK and went undetected despite a $100 million motion sensor and security system.
Town of Islip?s Acting Aviation Commissioner Terry Hennessy says MacArthur has several layers of security, including fences, TSA involvement and air traffic controllers who physically watch the perimeter of the airport.
Rep. Peter King (R-Seaford) says even though MacArthur takes security seriously, that all airports in the region should check and re-check their systems.
Hennessy says the airport is always looking to make improvements.
