For Long Islanders who did not have to go to work today, part of the day was spent shoveling their driveways and sidewalks.
Smithtown had some of the highest snow totals on the Island with 17 inches.
Most of the residents there said they just want the snow gone.
"Between the kids not going to school and us trying to dig out, it's killing us," said Frank Mallozzi.
West Islip also got walloped from the storm, with 14.5 inches of snow.
