It’s all fun and games at the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City
"Don't Touch!" is a phase many kids are used to hearing, except at the Long Island Children's Museum in Garden City. Built upon the core values of creativity and play, all exhibits are hands on, which makes for a great day of fun-filled activities for the whole family.
Everyone who steps inside gets a chance to explore and let those creative juices flow. There are displays that suit virtually any interest from animals and communications to art and science, plus the opportunity to make giant bubbles.
Originally, the facility opened with just five presentations. Since then, the interactive playground has grown to include a state-of-the-art theater, which hosts ongoing theatrical performances and a wide range of educational and culturally enriched programs.
The museum is easily accessible by car or the LIRR, and is open daily.
