Family, friends, coaches and teachers came together Friday for a candlelight vigil to remember the Newfield High School student who died after collapsing at an intramural football practice.
Those who came out wore red because it was Robert Bush's favorite color.
The 17-year-old's family tells News 12 they are thankful for all the love and support.
"The community is here, they've showed us so much support," says Bush's cousin, Jessica Noren. "Going through as much as we did, it really does take a village and we definitely had that. We were not expecting that."
Bush's famiy says the teenager died of sudden cardiac arrest.
