A driver had to be rescued after going down a boat ramp in Suffolk County.

The person drove an SUV down the ramp accidentally amid the dense fog on Wednesday morning, fire officials say.

The incident happened at the Islip Town Docks at the end of Maple Street around 5:30 a.m., according to the Islip Fire Department.

Firefighters helped the occupant out of the vehicle after it got stuck in icy waters.

There were no reported injuries.
