The Islandia Village Board unanimously approved Suffolk County Off Track Betting's new plan for Jake's 58 Casino Hotel to expand. The vote took place on Tuesday.
The proposal would add a second building with 1,000 new gaming machines.
Two-hundred hotel rooms will also be upgraded and the old pool will be restored.
The Suffolk County OTB says there will be triple the parking.
The project is slated to be complete by 2025.
Construction will begin this summer.
