The New York Islanders have unveiled their new alternate jerseys for the upcoming season.
The team's official third jersey is black and white to reflect its new Brooklyn playing grounds.
A bit of orange on the "NY" lettering pays homage to the team's past. The four orange lines represent the Islanders' four Stanley Cup wins.
The Islanders will don the black-and-white duds 12 times during the regular season. The first date the jersey will appear is Nov. 3 against the New Jersey Devils.
