Islanders service dog in training, graduated service dog stops by News 12 studios

The New York Islanders partnered with America's VetDogs to raise and train a dog for a veteran or first responder with disabilities.

The New York Islanders partnered with America's VetDogs to raise and train a dog for a veteran or first responder with disabilities.
This season, Jethro is the team dog and he visited the News 12 studios.
Jethro will spend 16 months with the team, before he is brought to the Smithtown facility to train and be paired with a first responder or vet.
Jethro's name was voted on by Islanders fans and pays homage to Clark Gilles nickname.
You can see Jethro walking around at Islanders games at UBS Arena this season.
