A new chapter has begun for the Island Park Library.
The library has reopened after Superstorm Sandy flooded the building.
The superstorm brought more than $600,000 in damages.
There were 80,000 books on the library's shelves before Sandy struck, destroying them. Now, they have 50,000 books, thanks to many contributions.
