Volunteers at a local hunger relief group are working to make sure Long Island residents can enjoy a holiday meal this Thanksgiving.
Volunteers at Island Harvest, a Long Island-based hunger relief group, were in Plainview on Sunday donating food.
They hope community members will join them in donating both canned goods and their time during the holiday season.
President Randi Shubin Dresner says Island Harvest helps over 300,000 people on Long Island each year.
