A double punch of storms hit Long Island Thursday, the latter of which brought high winds and hail.
The first round of weather came early Thursday, but was mostly harmless with showers across the Island.
But the afternoon brought much more severe conditions, including lightning, high winds, hail and some downed branches and trees.
Suffolk appeared to take the brunt of the storms, including some torrential downpours around 7 and 8:30 p.m.
A tornado warning was in effect for a few hours, but nothing appears to have touched down.
According to PSEG LI's website, there were about 7,000 outages at 10 p.m.
Friday is expected to mostly clear up, with sunny skies. There is a chance for scattered storms in the evening. Highs are forecast to be in the upper-80s.
