An injured fisherman whose boat ran aground in Long Beach was rescued by fire crews on Tuesday.

The City of Long Beach Fire Department says it was called around 3:29 p.m. to assist the Point Lookout Lido Fire Department.

The department sent a rescue boat and Jet Ski to reach the fisherman, who was then taken to a hospital by an ambulance.

The victim’s injuries and condition were not immediately clear.
